DIR CAMP III – Blansko

Meeting of divers interested in DIR diving take this time place in Blansko
namely on Friday from 20 to 24 o´clock and on Saturday from 11 to 18 o´clock.

First of all each diver mounted his/her own equipment and checked out basic skills under water such as bublle check, Valve drill, S-drill. After that everyone had the opportunity to consult own equipment and try gear of other divers to find out the reason why someone had problems with own equipment and someone was native cradle. Advanced divers started to drill trim with stages. After finishing trainig we moved to neighbouring village pass the night.

We all met again at swimming pool on Saturday morning after substantial soup for breakfest.
Frog kick, backwards kick, OOA situation and other skills and also procedures in emergency situation had been described to us. Under water we could see both divers interested in basic skills and advanced divers working with up to 5 stages during backwards with light on.
The camera with UW case was big advantage. Everything was filmed and everyone could see what he/she had done well or wrong. All around we were under water 11 hours with breaks for eating. In my opinion this DIR camp was absolutely effective. It was better than several dives during which we just relax than train and practise the skills as on this meeting.

I think this is the reason why should each diver spend several hours in swimming pool in full equipment  just training emergency situations and procedures at least once a year. Each diver who does not want to be dangerous to him/herself or to other divers. In order that everyone know what to do, how to react and how to help his/her buddy in real emergency situation.
