Chrustenice – Beta shaft
Gas: TX 18/45, deco gas: EAN 50
Max depth: 52 m
Dive time: 67 min
Date: 8th June 2005

___________________________________________________________________________

Our today´s load in Beta shaft is: to transport a spool from 35m to 60m of depth. Tell the truth this load should have to be done earlier. However, due to the unexpected problem with shaft´s lighting was previous dive canceled. Finaly, today it proceed!

At first sight the surface looked charming. The visibility appeared to be pretty good.
I looked forward to this dive all the more.

After all necessary preparation, control our equipment and dive plan we start the dive.
Lada goes first because he has already dive here. I follow him. Quite early we found out that what has seemed to be good conditions on the surface is not true underneath.
Visibility is something about 30 cm so there is no other way than follow the line to better ones. Indeed, it is like this. Spaces open at 30 m. A profil of the shaft turns out into its beauty
from almost zero. The rate of our descend raise conspicuously from this depth.

Unfortunately, we must leave the spool at 52 m depth. We delayed by swimming first 130m.
Nothing doing, we have to go back. Dive plan is dive plan! On the way back we see sideways shafts at 40m and 35m. My tendency peep inside is killed by my buddy who flaunt that we have to continue in ascend. The rules are given! We are getting near to the limit of impaired visibility and I prepeare myself to running decompression in zero. Nothing like this happened because what we stired on descend had put down partly. We drop into it from 6m to the surface.

Our next load is obvious. The spool must be moved deeper…..

PS:
It could happen to everyone! And everyone could learn from it!
First 130 m is bad almost zero visibility.
I discover the reason of stired silt which I has swum in as a second one as late as in clear water. Lada is in perfect trim. But I can not believe my eyes! His stage is hangign down fastened only on top D-ring. I stop him and fit his stage. I just can not understand why he did not realise this himself. He surely must have drugded a lot! Perhaps he was too engaged in his load….
